When I sent this query back in June, I got an auto-response letting me know that the agent had received it. (I wish all agents would do this; it’s reassuring to know that my missives are reaching their target audience and not disappearing into cyberspace.) This auto-response also informed me that if I hadn’t heard in six weeks, I could assume the agent and the agency (no dice on sending to another agent there) are not interested.
It’s been six weeks. Actually, it’s been eight. That’s right. No response.
I’m oh-for-seven here. Even in baseball, that’s bad.
I have a horrible feeling it’s going to get a whole lot worse.
