Kimberlee,

I just ran across your page while researching blogs for an upcoming virtual book tour. Can I just say, that this post made being up at 1:22 a.m. totally worth it.

"So each day for the next nine weeks, I am going to have to decide: do I want to breathe today? Or would I rather be able to walk?" - Hilarious!!

Your sister's comment made me laugh almost as much.

Thank you for keeping me laughing on this long work night. But I seriously hope that you find a way to both breathe AND walk.

Best,
Rachel

Sarah is too sweet to wish she could be there merely to hold your belly. Me? Not so much.... I wish I was there so that I could bask in the sweet misery that is your scalloped, toilet-water-soaked, velcro-granny girdle. (Truly bask as only a little sister can -- which means there would be lots and lots of pointing and hysterical rolling on the floor). *wink*

Oh, my dear friend. I wish I was there to give ya a helping hand or hold up your belly for a moment. Miss you. Love, Sarah

"And when he saw it, he said, “Wow. Uh, wow. I’m—I have nothing to say.” Thank you. I’m going to go crawl in a hole now. I just have to find one big enough to hold my watermelon."

I'm still laughing. And not just a smile-chuckle, but now going on a good three minutes of belly laughter.

And I hope that the contraption does help as the weeks progress.

Oh Kimberlee, I'm almost crying with laughter -- thank you for brightening my day with your own misery. Great-grandpa Fred's suspenders, priceless.

Seriously though, as unattractive as it sounds, I hope the Baby Hugger Lift (even the name makes me laugh) can provide some relief as your watermelon grows. Nine weeks feels like an eternity right now, but it'll pass before you know it, and then that watermelon will be outside of your body, ready for loving (and feeding and diaper changes, etc)!
